The Oa Peninsula

Port Ellen is dominated to the south by the Oa peninsula, which is almost an island in itself, so far as it is cut by streams following both ways from Kintra.

It rises steadily from sea level at kilnaughton to 202 metres at Ben Mor, the most southerly point, with the American Memorial (the monument) on the Mull of Oa which is 131 metres.
