Ballygrant and Finlaggan

Ballygrant is located halfway between Bridgend and Port Askaig. It is one of the smallest settlements of Islay and located in a very historical interesting area.

Ballygrant was for years the heart of the lead mining industry on Islay and only a few miles down the road is Finlaggan, the former centre of the Lordship of the Isles and the cradle of Clan Donald
